Do people really need a polished resume these days? I figure anyone calling me has already seen some form of my resume and likes it, and they basically need it in a format that hasn't been mangled by going through a database. And this should apply even more for candidates who have made a name for themselves. I actually don't like to see a resume that looks like they spent a ton of time formatting it--it suggests they might waste time on things that aren't important to the core functionality, while neglecting the core functionality.
