First, I hate to tell you this, but if you find efficiencies, that gain is going to get rolled into the estimates and so you don’t actually gain more time for other things. And most likely management won’t even realize how much longer things would take without those efficiencies, so you likely won’t get props either.

Second, teams don’t always appreciate members who are constantly trying to change process, even if those changes will “lighten everyone’s workload” and speed things up. So don’t be surprised if you come forward with suggestions to change things if people don’t actually think that makes you a pleasure to work with.
