I can always tell when a bathroom was designed by a man. The bottoms of the mirrors will be 5'6" off the ground, or there will be no receptacles in the stalls for sanitary products.

One thing you don't mention is designing for disabled people. As a developer I get really frustrated by how businesses actively don't care if they can use the products I'm making.
