I had a discussion on LinkedIn with a techbro recruiter opining that developers don't just need to be able to develop, they need "people skills." I've come to believe that "people skills" means "making white guys comfortable in your presence," and I more or less told him so. He responded condescendingly that "not everyone wants to be exceptional but..." I responded that there are more ways to be exceptional than just making white dudes comfortable.
