I live in Mississippi, so I've been remote most of my career. There just aren't any jobs that pay what I want to make here. You can balance out a lot of the things you say with improved focus and lack of a commute.

When it comes down to actual health, COVID is still raging and most employers haven't put mitigations like improved air exchange and filters into practice, and you can forget expecting your coworkers to mask to protect you and your family. I'll stay home, thanks.
