I remember in 2021 how a CEO called me and offered me substantially more to work a 4-day week. The job market is soft right now because the Fed has kept interest rates too high for too long specifically to discipline workers, who started to think they had power or something. Unfortunately, the President can't rein in the fed. Just like he can't keep the Supreme Court from making crazy rulings.
