IDK, I am senior, and I often do the complete reverse of these. I find that speaking slowly gives people an opening to interrupt, so I try to avoid it. Yes, you can interrupt the interrupter, and I frequently do, but why set that situation up? I also deliberately use upspeak, because when I don't I can be perceived as aggressive/threatening. I also add fluff to emails, because actually expressing your interest in people's wellbeing is often appreciated. JMO.
