It would have been nice to provide context to the bit about polarization, to remind everyone that today's liberals are actually the centrists of the 80s, and Republicans have moved so far right many of them are openly praising Hitler these days. I was an Independent leaning right in the 90s, now solidly a Democrat. My politics haven't moved that much, except on gun control.
