I've also seen teams gang up on one person they decide is an asshole. It doesn't matter *what* that person does, they're the problem. I've literally seen people run out of meetings to go gossip about what happened in the meeting with their friends.

People who go into programming study programming, not psychology. It's beyond unfair to expect one person to reverse a toxic team that is targeting them, no matter how much feedback you give them.
