Love this article! I think it's important to remember, though, that the way React hijacked AngularJs's market share was making these exact claims. In reality, these things were only true of React because it didn't actually do much. Once React apps started to do more, people added their own heaviness to React, which, yes, you could say wasn't React's "fault", it was people who were using it wrong. But there was no actual right way to do it either--if you wanted to do it, you had to invent a way to do it, and the weight of that solution was down to the skill of the individual developer. I haven't looked into Svelte, basically because I, like you, am old, and I have no intention of learning another front-end FW before I retire. AI is another story...
