No, if taking care an elderly person doesn't catch covid is important, it's important for all elderly people, not just one. Most of us don't have any information about the risk level in our local area, because they're not tracking it anymore. Out of every 250 people you encounter, at least one probably has COVID, based on the limited information I'm able to get about COVID prevalence from sewer water testing. That means that unless you don't go out in public, you are probably exposed to COVID nearly every day. Unless you are never around any elderly or otherwise vulnerable people, you have probably exposed someone to COVID who could die if they got it (possibly you've even killed someone and don't know it), because it's very possible to infect someone with COVID when you're asymptomatic (and most people don't stay home anymore when they have symptoms). Everyone, not just vulnerable people, is at risk for long COVID, and frankly our country is not going to be able to afford all the people it is disabling.

The fact that people are still required to test before meeting Biden indicates he and his administration know all this--they're just prioritizing short-term economic growth over people's lives and health.
