No, she didn't have diabetes. My other cat, also 17, has diabetes. When she was diagnosed at 15 we consulted with the vet and they said that we could try to control it, but the treatment might lower her quality of life as much or more than the disease. So she potters around and does her thing, apparently fairly healthy. She misses her "sister."
