Often boring tasks have hidden depths to them and can be really interesting if you approach them the right way. Is there an opportunity to automate them? Is there a way to eliminate them by changing something?

Also, I've noticed that tasks that are sometimes dismissed as boring aren't actually boring, they're just both difficult and unglamorous (come with little recognition). So people avoid them, because failing at an unglamorous task is something they don't want to do.
