Oh, I absolutely agree that you see people with those job titles younger, but as this post points out, often titles don't really match up with skill level. I think particularly in the modern environment, where there is such a _huge_ volume of things to learn to be senior, it's not realistic to think you could learn, absorb, and synthesize it in a relatively short period of time.
