The post that you’re responding to is about how disrespectful it is to do this to devs whom you contacted, who have a job. If you only interview developers who contact you, or you avoid doing this to ones you recruit, then this is not talking to you.

However, I think companies often don’t realize that the developer they are interviewing is one that a recruiter contacted, not one who is actively seeking this particular job.
