The problem is that if you don't ever practice creating clean code from the start, you won't be able to do it just as quickly as creating crappy code. So not only do you create waste with all the crappy code you have to refactor (if you can, with the skills of someone who can't create clean code even when it's easy), you will do that for the lifetime of your career. Which probably explains your viewpoint.
