The problem with determining someone is an excuse master is that you could be the baddie. Or one of their teammates could be sabotaging them. In the first case, if you terminate them, someone else will become the excuse master (your old excuse master was probably holding things together in ways you couldn't see). In the second case, you may well have a more efficient team by getting rid of someone another team member wants gone. But what a dick move.
