This is everything that's wrong in our industry. Not only are we not building good habits in our juniors by making sure that they build great habits by being exposed to great code and great practices, the "any old code will do as long as it can somehow limp through QA" attitude that's becoming more and more prevalent in the industry means that virtually all new developers learn to be sloppy and not care, because that's what they see seniors doing.
And heaven forbid someone come along who does actually give a crap. Crush him under the weight of beaurocracy so we can keep on with our lazy sloppy ways and keep collecting a paycheck.
