This is the problem with our business. Someone writes a blog post proposing a new best practice, and all the people in the industry who were prematurely rocketed to "senior" status (but who haven't actually been around long enough to have seen this cycle play out several times) jump on it without realizing it's just one person/team's opinion, and everyone follow like lemmings.
