Yes, it can be disconcerting working with people who imagine they've been able to learn enough in 2 or even 5 years to confidently tell you you're wrong after decades in the field. I mean, you're not automatically right because you've been doing this 20 years, but you probably are able to consider more possibilities before deciding on the best path.
