You forget the rise of having multiple monitors. In the 90s I printed things out because I needed to cross-reference multiple documents to understand things. Add a monitor, cut that in half. Up the screen resolution and change the OS and the tools on it so I can show 2 or more documents on each screen, suddenly I don't need to print things out anymore. Have me work from home where I pay for the paper and the printer is not intended for heavy use, and now I am finding reasons _not_ to print.
